Tip1: Highlands Legacy - 1pt

Best odds of 5/2 available at bet365 during publishing.

This looks like a competitive handicap chase, but preference goes to HIGHLANDS LEGACY (best priced at 5/2), who has had the form of his runner-up at Aintree last time boosted. The Jonjo & A J O’Neill-trained six-year-old won on his chasing debut at Worcester off a mark of 115 before finishing 2nd by less than a length at Aintree a month ago.

The winner Mambonumberfive followed up at Newbury on his next start and is now rated 11lbs higher, the third Glengouly won the December Gold Cup on his next start and is now rated 12lbs higher, and the fourth Javert Allen finished 2nd on his next start and is now rated 1lb higher. Highlands Legacy runs here off only a 3lb higher mark, and he looks the one to beat before a further 2lbs collateral from the handicapper.

Tip 2: Villalobos - 1pt

Best odds of 2/1 available at bet365 dueing publishing.

The top weight VILLALOBOS (best priced at 2/1) has shown improved form since going back on the AW, and he looks the one to beat in this 0-55 handicap. The Simon Hodgson trained six-year-old finished 3rd at Kempton in September before winning over this course and distance in December off a mark of 50.

Villalobos was only beaten a neck over this course and distance off a mark of 55 on his next start, and he should be able to defy a 2lb rise in the handicap from a good draw in Stall 3.

Tip 3: Heathcliff - 0.5pt EW

Best odds of 5/1 available at William Hill during publishing.

Coul Angel beat HEATHCLIFF (best priced at 5/1) over this course and distance 42 days ago, and he looks to hold strong claims of reversing that form with a 1lb swing in the weights. The James Fanshawe-trained four-year-old has consistent form figures of 13121262 at Kempton in his career, and despite all three of his victories at this track coming over 7f rather than 6f, this bigger field should suit him better.

Billy Loughnane should be able to get a good position from Stall 6, and he looks the solid each-way option against the favourite.

Tip 4: Shader - 1pt

Best odds of 6/4 available at bet365 during publishing.

The Wild Flower Stakes is a rematch between Dubai Honour and SHADER, who fought out the finish of the listed Churchill Stakes at Southwell in November. The John & Thady Gosden trained four-year-old was sent off 4/9 that day but was beaten by a length but I feel he will be better suited by the return to Kempton. He is unbeaten in his two starts at this track, including when winning the listed Floodlit Stakes over this distance by nine lengths on his return from 156 days off the track.

Ancient Wisdom and Lion City should both ensure a strong pace in this contest, and I feel Shader is overpriced to reverse form with Dubai Honour.

19:10 Kempton

Tip 5: Rhythm N Rock - 1pt

Best odds of 11/4 available at Ladbrokes during publishing.

The John Butler-trained RHYTHM N ROCK has dropped to a career low mark of 65, and he looks worth taking a chance on in a Class 6 0-65 handicap for the first time. The seven-year-old has uninspiring form figures but did catch the eye last time when 4th last time at Wolverhampton when given too much to do.

Neil Callan takes over on board Rhythm N Rock which is a positive and he can hopefully bounce back to form dropped into this grade.

Tip 6: Smasher (0.5pt EW)

Best odds of 11/2 available at BetVictor during publishing,

The Michael Attwater-trained SMASHER (best priced at 11/2) has a superb recent record at this track, and he can be forgiven his below-par run at Wolverhampton last time. The five-year-old won over this course and distance in February off a mark of 56 before getting beaten at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford twice at both venues. He then won and has finished runner-up back over this course and distance on his next three starts off marks of 53, 55 and 55 before getting beaten last time at Wolverhampton.

Smasher now returns to this course and distance off a mark of 55, and he looks sure to run well.
