The six-year-old is likely to face three rivals on first start over fences
Betfair Hurdle winner and Supreme fourth Ballyandy is set for his seasonal bow at Perth on Thursday when he runs in the 16.30 Novice Chase. His trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies has won the race in five of the last ten years and the horse himself ran at the track last year when beaten in a novice hurdle by Moon Racer.
The six-year-old looks set to face three rivals with Irish raiders Fagan and Chitu already successful over the larger obstacles at Thursday’s venue.
However, if Ballyandy takes to life as a chaser he should take all the beating with connections surely dreaming of a return to the Cheltenham Festival in March 2018 for which is he currently priced up at 25/1 for the Arkle Chase.
