Waiting Patiently blew away his field today at Kempton and is now a short price for the Ryanair Chase.
After being backed in all week, Waiting Patiently did exactly that under a controlled ride from Brian Hughes, before making light work of his opponents in the 32Red Casino Chase at Kempton. God’s Own, Smad Place and Josses Hill are all horses with Grade 1 experience to their name but Waiting Patiently travelled smoothly throughout and there was no real contest in the end as he cruised to an eight length win.
Before today, Waiting Patiently was best price 20/1 for the Ryanair Chase but his impressive performance saw the bookies dramatically slash his odds, with Bet365 going as short as 6/1.
A number of bookies, including Ladbrokes, 888 Sport and Bet Victor, price the horse at a high of 10/1 and believe that Un De Sceaux at 4/1 is still the clear favourite to land the prize.
