Un De Sceaux shortens further to land back-to-back Ryanair Chases following announcement.
Reports suggesting Top Notch won’t be running at the Festival this year are true and have shaken up the ante post betting for the Ryanair Chase.
In total, 7% of all ante-post bets in the race are already made losers. Of course, some of these will be refundable with NRNB, however, plenty of shrewd punters will lose out, due to betting before bookies introduced the special.
Un De Sceaux’s grip on the Ryanair Chase has become even more secure since the withdrawal of the 7/1 shot. Willie Mullins’ horse has shortened with eleven different bookies on Oddschecker. He remains 9/4 with one firm, but we wouldn’t expect that price to be around much longer. Balko Des Flos, who has been cut with a handful of bookmakers, including a couple of firms who have gone as short as 5/1.
Since the Henderson horse pulled out of the race, punters have rushed to back Un De Sceaux, with just over 55% of bets in the race being placed on the Mullins' horse. Balko Des Flos has been the second most fancied horse, accounting for 26% of punts.
