The guys and girls over at GYTO have a cracking value tip for the Cheltenham Festival.
We focus on the Stayers Hurdle for our Value Tip this year and fancy the Jessica Harrington-trained SUPASUNDAE (best price 6-1) to serve it up to them. She has described him as her ‘banker of the meeting’ and it’s easy to see why. Yes it looks a fairly strong renewal of the race but she is adamant this horse is much better this year and his recent form certainly suggests that. He pushed Apple’s Jade mightily close at Christmas on just his second start over this trip, giving her weight. Back over two miles he readily held off Faugheen last time, and is a horse clearly thriving right now. His doubters suggest he might not stay but his trainer is adamant he will and to me he shaped like a horse who is going to have plenty more to offer over this sort of trip. He seems to have the right attitude and temperament needed for this test and could excel over staying trips in the future. Robbie Power has developed a great partnership with him and his experience in the saddle will obviously be a big plus against some of these.
