Warren Greatrex's horse backed well over the last 24 hours for the Mares Hurdle.
Warren Greatrex-trained La Bague Au Roi is being heavily backed in the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle, with the seven-year-old attracting attention.
The movement follows news that Rich Ricci’s Vroum Vroum Mag has been retired from action.
Currently fourth favourite for the Mares Hurdle, La Bague Au Roi has been cut from 12/1 on the 20th February, into 9/1 with Bet365.
She’s dominating betting in the market as well, with over 56% of all bets in the last 24 hours on the race.
He said: "I'm excited about La Bague Au Roi. I'm not sure yet which race she will go for.
“There is probably more depth in the Stayers' but there is a talented horse (Apple's Jade) and a few others in the Mares’ race. She is in great nick."
Greatrex continued: "She definitely stays three miles. I think I will leave it until as late as possible.
“It is just a case of how things develop between now and the day.”
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Whether Vroum Vroum Mag's withdrawal forced Mr Greatrex's hand or not, it now seems likely that the exciting horse will go for the Mares Hurdle.
“She will still do very well to get past last year's winner Apple's Jade though, who is best price 8/13.
