Delta Work hands trading teams a lifeline as Betfair and Betfred overtake BetVictor
Whilst BetVictor took a considerable early lead, some useful ante-post runners and 10 points each day, there was still time for other bookies to stage a comeback. #Tipstanbul.
Betfred had a cracking second day largely down to Tiger Roll, and the same colours got them off to a blinder in the opener when Shattered Love romped home. Ladbrokes also benefited from a huge run from the Gordon Elliott horse.
Reigning champions Coral have had a steady festival and things got a whole of a lot better when Delta Work won the Pertemps. Their traders placed five points on the winner at 14/1, Black Type also backed Elliott’s horse but with two points each-way.
After winning big on the opener, Betfred also profited from Colin’s sister grabbing a place in the Stayers Hurdle at 40/1.
Betfair had a huge day on the second day of the festival and things got even better when Storyteller won at 8/1. The five points they had on the Brown Advisory Plate winner was enough to fire them into the lead.
The only other winner on the day was Ladbrokes’ sneaky each-way point on Double Ross in the Kim Muir.
It’s all to play for on day 4. Betfair lead the way but can easily be caught by the likes of Coral, Betfred and BetVictor. William Hill, Bet365 and Ladbrokes will be out to ensure they finish in profit.
