The two 2018 winners are just some of the horses tipped to shine next year.
With the biggest carnival of racing in the world over for another year, we took a look at some of the early ante-post favourites for next year’s Cheltenham Festival.
Leading the charge for the Queen Mother Champion Chase 2019 is perennial Cheltenham champion Altior, who heads the field at 7/4.
Footpad (6/1), Douvan (14/1), Min (14/1) and Petit Mouchir (25/1) follow suit in the rest of the pack.
Elsewhere, Samcro looks to continue his sparkling form by taking care of next year’s RSA Chase, installed as an early 8/1 favourite.
Black Op (10/1), Next Destination (14/1), Wholestone (14/1) and Kilbricken Storm (16/1) make up the rest of the chasing pack.
In the Gold Cup, Presenting Percy is the early front runner at 6/1, followed by Might Bite (8/1), Native River (8/1), Footpad (12/1) and Sizing John (14/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Although Cheltenham Festival might be over for the year, that hasn’t stopped putners getting their bets on for next year.
“Presenting Percy is the favourite for the premiere race of the Festival after winning the RSA Chance, whilst Samcro is the early fancy after his Ballymore Novices Hurdle triumph.”
