‘The Machine’ got turned over at Punchestown and a range of specials are now the same odds as Faugheen.
The hugely popular Faugheen is currently 8/1 best price to win a race at Cheltenham, and there are a lot of things on Oddschecker’s site that are more likely to happen than Willie Mullins’ ten-year-old getting into the winner's enclosure next March.
Under Ruby Walsh, Faugheen was entered into the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown last Sunday but was beaten by Mullins’s other horse Sharjah, in a surprise upset.
Faugheen was 6/4 and 4/5 SP when he won his two Cheltenham races in 2014 and 2015 respectively, but those short odds look a thing of the past.
It’s currently the same price of 8/1 on site that Oasis announce a tour for 2019, having been split up since 2009.
Elsewhere, you can get the same odds for Boris Johnson to be the next Prime Minister, with David Davis 6/1 on site as well.
Keeping with the politics theme, Paddy Power has a range of specials featuring Kim Jong-Un, and everyone’s favourite North Korean is 1/2 to open a Paddy Power store in North Korea! (They must know something we don’t.)
And from one leader to another, Donald Trump’s wife Melania is 8/1 with the same bookie (and the same price as Faugheen winning at Cheltenham next March) to be revealed to be living with another man in the 72-year-old’s first term as President!
Back to these shores… In the Premier League this weekend, Crystal Palace are a best price of 8/1 to beat Man United at Old Trafford, something they haven’t done in the league since 1989.
Finally, in the NFL, the Los Angeles Chargers have not won the AFC Championship since 1994 and have only won their conference once in the team’s entire existence. Yet they are the same odds at 8/1 to break that hoodoo this season!
