The six-year-old is being backed to get revenge at the Festival this season.
Apple's Jade has been cut to as short as 4/5 for the Mares' Hurdle following a 26-length victory in the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown.
That’s now a stunning nine Grade 1 victories for Gordon Elliott’s six-year-old, who is now being backed to set the form book straight at Cheltenham in March.
The mare went into last season’s festival as 1/2 favourite but was turned over by a Mullins/Walsh combo in Benie Des Dieux, who beat her on two occasions last season. The 2018 Mares' Hurdle winner is second in the market at 4/1.
Connections are not expected to send Apple's Jade to the Champion Hurdle but a couple of bookies are taking no chances and have cut her as short as 10/1. She is available at 8/1 NRNB.
Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek: "There was no competition at Leopardstown with Faugheen falling two out, but it's no surprise Apple's Jade is so heavily fancied to win the Mares' Hurdle again after continuing her immaculate start to the season."
