He's as short as 4/1 for the Cheltenham opener following Thursday's declarations
Punters have been quick to back Angels Breath for the Supreme Novice Hurdle this Thursday, with his price now as short as 4/1.
The move comes as Nico De Boinville confirmed he is to ride the five-year-old for the Cheltenham opener, with the former Gold Cup winner on board for his last two races.
Those runs saw a first at Ascot before a surprise second to Southfield Stone at Kempton last month.
Over a quarter of all bets has gone on Nicky Henderson’s grey since the announcement, more than any other horse in the Supreme market.
Angels Breath was as big as 11/2 yesterday, but that price is currently gone, with a best price of 5/1 available.
De Boinville’s other choice was Mister Fisher, but the overlooked gelding has not moved in price, and remains a best price of 11/1.
Al Dancer remains favourite at 7/2 best price, while Fakir D’Oudaries completes the top three at 6/1 best price.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Angels Breath backers would have had cause to worry had De Boinville chosen to ride stablemate Mr Fisher, but his faith in the horse has clearly been matched by punters, despite failing to get home in front last time out.”
