Champion Hurdle - 15:30

George: If you'd told me 12 months ago that Buveur D'Air would be 11/4 for a third consecutive Champion Hurdle I would have assumed he'd endured a miserable year, but that is simply not the case.

Turned over by Verdana Blue, there are of course question marks that maybe didn't exist before. But this price is an absolute insult to the champ; a horse that comes to life at Prestbury Park and will have no issues with the effects of the forecast rain.

The Mares Apple's Jade and Laurina deserve our respect, but they will have to topple Nicky Henderson's eight-year-old, and will have a far tougher time doing so than the price suggests.

Buveur d'Air - 1pt @ 11/4

Carlisle v Notts County - 19:45

Ryan: From the glitz and glamour of Cheltenham to the rain-soaked tundra of darkest Cumbria.

Assuming Buveur D'Air romps home in the Champion Hurdle, all eyes will turn to an interesting array of midweek football action, and does it get any sexier than Carlisle v Notts County?

I didn’t think so, and within this crucial League Two clash lies the second half of our acca: a Carlisle United victory.

The hosts love playing at Brunton Park: six wins from their last eight on home soil stands them in great stead for the visit of bottom side County, who have succumbed to defeat in six of their last eight away games.

21/20 is a tasty price for a home win on Tuesday, and should be a nice cure for those post-day-one Cheltenham blues.
