After an emphatic win in the Betway Bowl at Aintree, Willie Mullins’ Kemboy has been cut from 33/1 to as short as 8/1 to win the 2020 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Unseating jockey David Mullins at the first fence in this year’s Gold Cup, the previous Savills Chase winner went off the 9/4 favourite for the Betway Bowl on Aintree’s opening day.
With Ruby Walsh aboard, the seven-year-old made light work of stiff opposition in testing conditions at Aintree, finishing up the nine-length winner.
Willie Mullins won his first Gold Cup with Al Boum Photo springing a surprise this year, who currently leads the market for next year’s race, as short as 6/1, with a best price of 8/1.
Ruby Walsh rode Bellshill in the 2019 instalment, not finishing the race, but the champion jockey could be spoilt for choice next year.
