Both Altior and Cyrname shorten for respective races after the Christy 195 Chase.
After Cyrname dethroned Altior in stunning fashion at Ascot, the Cheltenham markets have been quick to react.
Cyrname powered away and whilst Altior jumped well throughout he simply couldn’t match Paul Nicholls’ seven-year-old.
Cyrname has been cut to as short as 10/1 from 33/1 for the Gold Cup.
Whilst an attempt at the King George looks likely first, punters also think he may then go for the Ryanair. He has been cut from 12/1 into 8/1 for that.
It remains to be seen what Nicky Henderson will do with Altior but he has shortened from 5/1 into as short as 5/2 for the Champion Chase.
Punters think he will drop down in trip after today’s effort. He may have lost but there is no doubting Altior and many believe he will bounce back in the Champion Chase.
