How many fingers will be burned with these big favourites?
With just 49 days until Cheltenham Festival gets underway (who’s counting?), punters across the country are studying ante-post markets.
But what are the biggest ante-post favourites heading into the Greatest Show on Turf?
Oddschecker have taken a look at the potential entrants with the shortest odds, currently available in the ante-post markets.
The joint-shortest price (at the time of writing) is Emma Lavelle’s eight-year-old, Paisley Park, who is currently 5/4 best price for the Stayers Hurdle.
Another big hitter, available at 11/8, is the bang in form Envoi Allen, who looks set to storm the Ballymore Novices Hurdle.
Benie Des Dieux follows next as a red-hot favourite, and is currently 13/8 to pick off the field in the Mares Hurdle.
Back-to-back Grand National winner Tiger Roll looks set for the Cross Country Chase and is 7/4 to win the race again this year.
Both the Champion Chase and Champion Hurdle have short price favourites, with Defi Du Seuil edging out Altior, and available at 7/4.
Epatante is the 7/2 market leader for the Champion Hurdle, ahead of the likes of Pentland Hills (7/1) and Saldier (7/1).
