Paisley Park is now as short as 8/11 to retain his Stayers' Hurdle crown
Paisley Park made it back-to-back Cleeve Hurdle victories on Saturday when toying with his rivals up the Cheltenham hill.
Having been 5/4 for the Stayers' Hurdle before the off on Saturday, bookmakers were quick to cut the eight-year-old’s price into odds-on after another dominant display.
Summerville Boy led up to the last hurdle before Paisley Park breezed past the 2018 Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner.
He hardly got out of second gear, hitting the front with ease and was doing more than enough up to the finish line to make it seven wins in a row.
With his ears pricked coming up the hill, the adoring Cheltenham crowd roared him home.
He looks imperious at the top of the Stayers' Hurdle market, and having been odds-against with some firms before Saturday, the best price you can find him at now is 1/1.
It seems nothing in this division can get close to Emma Lavelle’s star. Willie Mullins will be having second thoughts about sending his star mare Benie Des Dieux to the Stayers' Hurdle and looks likely to go down the Mares Hurdle route again.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Paisley Park, yet again, has silenced any doubters and now looks the banker of the Cheltenham Festival.
"You would be a brave man to take him on, he has this division at his mercy and is destined for more Cheltenham glory in March.”
