Ante-post Defi Du Seuil backers, look away...
Altior has been backed into the 7/4 favourite for the Champion Chase following an influx of bets on Nicky Henderson’s star.
The ten-year-old has taken 38% of bets for the race in the last seven days, with Defi Du Seuil only picking up 20% of bets in the same time period.
Punters are siding with the two time Champion Chase winner to complete the hat-trick, and don’t think Phillip Hobbs’ rising star will be able to live with him.
Defi Du Seuil is now the best price of 9/4, having been 7/4 with some firms last month.
Altior is only getting shorter but is still 2/1 with a couple of firms.
Chacun Pour Soi is the best price of 11/4. Willie Mullins’ runner has taken a steady stream of bets in last month, but Oddschecker users make this one a two-horse race.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "Altior's winning streak was emphatically broken by Cyrname back in November which has caused many to question whether the 10-year-old can still hit the same heights as previously.
"Defi Du Seuil and Chacun Pour Soi are two horses coming to Cheltenham in serious form, but write the four-time festival winner off at your peril."
