Oddschecker reveals the three most backed horses on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival
Marsh Novices’ Chase – Faugheen
In what would be a fairy-tale story, punters are backing Faugheen to land the opening race on day three. The twelve-year-old has been rejuvenated since going chasing and has won three out of three so far this season. He got the better of main market rival Samcro on Boxing Day at Limerick and plenty think he will do so again. He is now the 7/2 favourite for the race.
A Plus Tard is the 15/8 favourite for the Ryanair and despite support for Min, Henry De Bromhead’s runner is being very well backed. A winner at the Festival last year, he is no stranger to Cheltenham and should relish this test. His beating of Chacun Pour Soi this season was very impressive and punters are backing him for more Cheltenham glory this afternoon.
Stayers’ Hurdle - Paisley Park
Paisley park is the very strong favourite for the Stayers’ Hurdle and punters are still backing him at odds-on. He won the race last year and has had the beating of all of his main market rivals. He has now won seven in a row and it looks like Emma Lavelle’s star will make it eight in a row this afternoon.
The treble pays 20/1...
