Ultima Handicap Chase

HAPPYGOLUCKY has been well backed over the last few weeks and the money is continuing to come for him this morning. The seven-year-old was fourth in the Martin Pipe last year, after being hampered at the last hurdle. He’s taken to fences effortlessly, winning two of his three starts. The latest was at Cheltenham in December, staying on strongly to the line. Kim Bailey has put him away since and he arrives here off a mark of 147, which he should prove well ahead of in time.

Mares' Hurdle

CONCERTISTA bolted up in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at last year’s Festival and punters think it will be a similar story this afternoon. Willie Mullins’ seven-year-old mare has won on both starts this term, both with minimal fuss and showing her very impressive engine. Mullins has an incredible record in the race and it’s likely he will continue that record today with another winner in the form of Concertista.

National Hunt Chase

NEXT DESTINATION has won both his chase starts so far this season, most recently winning a Grade 2 a Warwick with a fantastic display of jumping. He’s yet to run over this longer trip, but he’s shown he should relish the 3m6f. He has been a big gamble for this since being declared due to Royale Pagaille heading to the Gold Cup. Paul Nicholls’ nine-year-old has been backed all the way into the 5/2 favourite.
