We reveal the three most backed horses at Epsom today, including in the Oaks and Derby
IRONCLAD hasn’t been seen since August last year after a successful three-year-old campaign. He won twice over this distance last season off a mark of 81. He now races of 86 and there should be a lot more to come from Hugh Palmer’s four-year-old. He has been gelded over the winter which should bring out further improvement too.
FRANKLY DARLING is being heavily backed to land the Oaks this afternoon. The filly has been mightily impressive in both her victories this season, particularly her sensational effort in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot. She should enjoy this step up in trip and could end up very close in price to the current favourite, Love.
KAMEKO is oddschecker’s users pick in the Derby. The 2000 Guineas winner powered home late at Newmarket despite finding trouble in running. There are question marks over whether he will stay the trip but plenty are clearly not concerned. He is nicely drawn and if he handles the 1m 4f trip, he will surely be a big player.
