Frankly Darling has been cut into as short as 3/1 from 10/1 for the Oaks following a scintillating display at Royal Ascot.

The John Gosden trained filly used her impressive turn of foot to put the Ribblesdale Stakes to bed on the home straight, powering away from her rivals.

Bookmakers were quick to cut her odds, making her second-favourite for the Epsom Classic.

A 10/1 chance for the Oaks before the Ribblesdale, there were no doubting her credentials after this effort under Frankie Dettori, and the best price available on her now is a standout 4/1 with one firm.

She only finds 1000 Guineas winner Love (13/8) ahead of her in the betting now, very much looking like Gosden’s best chance of landing the race this year.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Anyone claiming Frankly Darling was overhyped before the race were made to eat their words as the Frankel filly followed up a comfortable win at Newcastle with another impressive display."

"The three-year-old was far from perfect, racing very keen early on, suggesting there is plenty of improvement still to come under John Gosden and she promises to be a live Oaks contender come July.
