The Venetia Williams stable is still under a bit of a cloud this season, but as a result, HEVA ROSE (best priced at 14/1) is a higher price than expected. The nine-year-old won on her reappearance in 2023 after a wind operation off a mark of 91 prior to winning over this course and distance a month later off a mark of 101.
Heva Rose only made the track twice last season when pulling up on both occasions, but as a result, she has now dropped down to a mark of 98. She has had another wind operation, and hopefully that will see her bounce back to form in this race.

MIDNIGHT CALL (best priced at 3/1) has won her previous two starts by a neck, and the form of both of those victories is working out well. The Tony Carroll trained five-year-old won by a neck at Wolverhampton on both of those starts, but the runners-up have both when on their next starts.
Matthew Lloyd Slater, who has ridden her to win on her previous two starts, retains the ride, and she should prove hard to beat.

It seems unlikely that Mr Griffiths will run again under a 7lb penalty for winning yesterday and therefore it looks a good opportunity for BOLLIN THOU (best priced at 8/11) to follow up his recent victory at Uttoxeter. The Nick Schofield-trained eight-year-old won for the first time in his career that day when a well-backed 11/4 favourite under Sean Bowen.
The handicapper has raised Bollin Thou 7lbs up to a mark of 83 following that comfortable 6 ½ length success, but he should be able to follow up with the champion jockey once again on board.
