Steve Ryder reveals five horse racing tips for Saturday, including a strong two-point bet at Newcastle.

Tip 1: Dandy Khan - 1pt win

The Jim Boyle-trained DANDY KHAN (best priced at 9/4) has won her previous four starts at Lingfield, and she can cope with a 2lb rise in the weights. The four-year-old defied odds of 40/1 to win in November prior to winning by less than a length twice at this track off a mark of 55. She was beaten at Wolverhampton on her next start prior to winning by a short head back at this track a week ago.
Dandy Khan runs here off only a 2lb higher mark off a rating of 62, and she should prove hard to beat from a good draw in Stall 1.

Tip 2: Just Ennemi - 0.5pt EW

Harry Derham went to the trouble of buying JUST ENNEMI (best priced at 22/1) at the sales for £320,000, and it will be disappointing if he can’t make an impact off a mark of 124. The six-year-old had won twice over hurdles in France, and connections had been patient with him prior to a disappointing chasing debut at Haydock last time.
Just Ennemi was sent off only 5/6 to beat higher-rated rivals off level weights, but he weakened late on with an excuse. He should be able to bounce back to form over hurdles off this low rating.

Tip 3: Williethebuilder - 1pt win

The form of WILLIETHEBUILDER (best priced at 9/4) could receive a form boost from Lanesborough in the preceding race as he finished 2nd behind him at Doncaster in December. The Christian Williams-trained seven-year-old was then an impressive 3 ½ length winner last time over this course and distance under Toby McCain-Mitchell in a Class 3 0-140 handicap hurdle.
The handicapper has raised Williethebuilder 8lbs for that comfortable success, but he actually drops in grade to this 0-130 handicap hurdle and should prove hard to beat off top weight.

Tip 4: Eligible - 0.5pt EW

ELIGIBLE (best priced at 6/1) was a double-figure price winner for the column at the end of last year when winning by a length at Southwell, and he should be able to defy a 5lb rise in the weights. The Mick & David Easterby-trained ten-year-old was returning from a 155-day break, having dropped from a mark of 74 to 69 in that time, running on turf.
Eligible has won seven times on the AW in his career, including off marks of 79 and 76, so this rating of 74 should still prove within reach, and based on his latest victory over 7f, this step up in trip to a mile could suit even better.

Tip 5: Relevant Range - 2pt win

RELEVANT RANGE (best priced at 11/8) came within a head of making a winning stable debut for Ivan Furtado on Sunday, and he should prove hard to beat off the same mark. The seven-year-old was only 2-34 in Ireland but had dropped down from a career high mark of 80 to 47 prior to his first run for the stable last week.
Beaten only a head by the even money favourite Timely Affair, Relevant Range pulled two lengths clear of the third, and it will be disappointing if he doesn’t get back to winning ways in this race.
