We reveal the three most backed horses on the fourth day of the Goodwood Festival

Al QAQAA made all in mightily impressive fashion last time out at Newmarket and is being very well backed on handicap debut. William Haggas’ three-year-old looks very progressive, and a mark of 88 surely underestimates him. Haggas is in fine for at the moment and the favourite in the opener could get oddschecker users off to a flyer.

Punters are predicting more success for William Haggas today, as MY OBERON is being supported to overturn Khaloosy in the Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes. He was sensational when powering clear by six lengths having been well very backed. With slight doubts over whether the favourite will handle the ground, My Oberon is expected to take another step forward today.

DESERT ENCOUNTER won this last year and there is plenty of reason to suggest he will do so again this year. He shaped with plenty of promise in the Prince Of Wales’s Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month, at one point looking he may come through with a winning run. It was a similar story last year at Newmarket, before landing this in impressive fashion. Punters think he will make it back-to-back victories this afternoon.
