We reveal the three most backed horses on the fifth day of the Goodwood Festival
ENBIHAAR is very short in the betting but that isn’t stopping oddschecker users backing last year’s winner of the race. John Gosden’s five-year-old ran respectably on seasonal reappearance, despite only managing fourth. She will have come on for that and if she can repeat last year’s performance she should win this with ease. The mare won by five lengths in mightily impressive fashion, and plenty think the same is on the cards this afternoon.
NAHARR was brilliant when winning at Newbury last time out and is being backed to land the Stewards’ Cup today. Unlucky at Royal Ascot when headed late on having been well backed, the four-year-old made amends in style at Newbury in July. He is up 7lb for that effort but could be a class apart from his rivals here.
SOCIETY LION lost by a neck last time out at Doncaster but with the form of the race working out very well, he is fancied to land his second career victory on his fifth start. Sir Michael Soute’s three-year-old is up 5b for that Doncaster run, but should prove well ahead of this mark in time. Ryan Moore is back on board and a big run is expected.
