Folsom Blue has already landed two Grand National Trials and now targets the Irish National.
FOLSOM BLUE has been well-backed by our punters to win the Irish Grand National. A superb run last month saw Gordon Elliott’s horse win a second Grand National Trial.
Having gone off as the 5/1 favourite, the veteran showed great determination and grit to fight back at Punchestown and land the prize. He also had last year’s winner, Baie Des Iles, back in third by 13 lengths which shows the ability Folsom Blue still possesses.
In the last 48 hours, Gordon Elliott’s charge has received 40% of all bets to win the Irish Grand National and Elliott has made it no secret he would love to win the Irish this year. He is currently best-priced at 12/1 to win the Irish National.
After winning the Trial last month, the trainer made it very clear Folsom Blue would be heading to the Irish National, helping punters out with any ante-post punts.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Folsom Blue has shown he is capable of producing on the big stage and he is with on the best yards in the world. Gordon Elliott has made it clear he wants to win the Irish National and he has a superb opportunity with the hard-battling Folsom Blue. He has every chance if things go his way on the day.”
