Oddschecker punters are backing the favourite in the Foxhunter Chase at Aintree.
Colin Tizzard’s GRAND VISION has received 46% all of bets in the last 48 hours to prevail in the Foxhunters’ Open Hunters’ Chase at the Aintree Festival. He currently heads the market at 4/1.
Having finished sixth in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham last month, plenty of our punters believe the twelve-year-old showed enough to prove he is capable of producing a winning display on Thursday.
The drop back to 2m 5f from 3m 2f will only play in the veteran’s favour, who seemed to be travelling well enough at the Festival before being stretched three out. Before that, he tracked the leaders well and was in fact second.
Other rivals in the betting market come into this race on rather disappointing efforts at the Festival, as Wonderful Charm pulled up in the same race and On The Fringe never looked like a threat when finishing over 12 lengths behind Grand Vision.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “There is no doubt that the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham clearly stretched Grand Vision last time out but the drop in trip clearly puts him in the frame.
Colin Tizzard will not have entered his twelve-year-old if he didn’t believe he was ready and punters may well be rewarded at Aintree.”
