One punter is very buoyant on an outsider in the Aintree showpiece.
The second largest stake placed through Oddschecker this morning has been placed on 100/1 shot Valseur Lido.
The 10-year-old has not won a race since his debut for Henry De Bromhead back in November 2016 when winning a Group 1 at Down Royal.
Clearly a very talented horse when younger, the bullish punter will be hopeful that the Gigginstown-owned gelding can rediscover his early form at Aintree today.
Rachael Blackmore takes the saddle and can become the first woman rider to win the National should Valseur Lido outrun his odds and take the glory.
Unsurprisingly the largest stake of the day so far has gone on the 2018 champion, Tiger Roll.
Oddschecker spokesperson, George Elek: "This race can certainly be a lottery and one punter is hoping for a massive shock. 100/1 Mon Mome won back in 2009 and with Rachael Blackmore in hot form she could be just the jockey to land another surprise."
