Punters are steering clear of one horse in particular at Aintree.
Gordon Elliott dominates the field this afternoon, his long list of runners includes the hotly-fancied Tiger Roll who looked to land back-to-back Grand National wins.
Tiger Roll has been the most popular for punters in the ante-post market. However, bettors aren’t too keen on another one of Elliott’s runners.
Blow By Blow comes into the race on the back of three very disappointing runs in Ireland which includes a last place finish, and pulling up on the other two occasions. Therefore, it’s not surprising to find that the eight-year-old has been the least backed horse in the race.
Just under 0.6% of bets on the Grand National have been placed on the 150/1 shot. Make sure you shop around though if you fancy being in minority and backing Blow By Blow, as one bookie is offering 66/1 on a shock win.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: "While several outsiders are seeing plenty of money go their way, it seems the stablemate of the mighty Tiger Roll isn't catching the eye of even the casual punters today. Not quite the biggest price in the market, but very few are taking the risk on this one."
