He looks like a trip would be ideal, and this big gelding might show a new side to him now tackling two and a half miles. He won over this when he won his sole point-to-point.
He stayed on well to land a Bumper first time under rules, before being pitched into Listed class at Ascot. He bolted up on hurdles debut, then again two starts back.
Last time out he ran in a Listed race at Sandown behind Hurricane Pat, who was second (beat fairly) but the Supreme Novice favourite, Old Park Star.
Behind the selection that day was Sober Glory, who has bolted up at short odds since. The trip looks the key, though, and he’s entered in the Turners at the Festival as his only entry, over roughly this trip.
He’s got a few pounds to find, but he’s a big price to take an each-way play in the hope it brings out the required improvement for this type of race.
