Racing Lee had a strong opening day at the Aintree Festival, landing a 3/1 winner and a runner-up 12/1 selection. He now shares his Day 2 best bets.

Tip 1: INDEEVAR BLEU - 1pt WIN
Best odds of 5/1 at William Hill at the time of publishing.
IKE SPORT - 0.5pt EW (5 places)
Best odds of 18/1 at bet365 while publishing.
INDEEVAR BLEU bolted up here when last seen over this course and distance, and has been kept fresh for this after wind surgery.
He had prior split Tutti Quanti and Indemnity, both have subsequently won good handicaps franking the form strongly.
He is up nine pounds but holds every chance if in the same mood as last time out.
IKE SPORT has ran here a few times, including in this race last year.
He now has the very capable Harry Atkins claiming seven off having been 10 lengths beat in the Pertemps last time out off a pound higher mark.
He’s two pound lower than running second here last May over the trip with no claim off, and three pound lower than when fifth in this race, again, no claim.
He’s been withdrawn on soft before, so any good would be a plus, and he’s off a low weight and a huge price, so could fill the frame with the extra place concessions.

Tip 2 - SALVER - 1pt WIN
Best odds of 4/1 at Betfred while publishing.
He may prefer some more juice in the ground, but he’s a fair jumper and stays very well.
I’m trying to find one against him and finding it hard to make a case for the rest.
He stayed on like a train in the Brown Advisory, and if he can get into a groove round here, he will be coming home best.
4:05 Aintree
Tip 3: WILL THE WISE - 1pt WIN
Best odds of 9/1 at William Hill while publishing.
BOOMBAWN - 0.5pt WIN
Best odds of 14/1 at Unibet while publishing.
Will The Wise travelled well in the Grand Annual, only to come off second best in the 23 runner contest to Madara.
But, Madara is up ten pounds and likely was trained to the minute for that race.
Will The Wise on the other hand will be suited by this track more than Cheltenham’s finishing hill, the trip will suit, and the fences should hold no fear.
BOOMBAWN has ran well in defeat at Aintree on a few occasions, and although tackles the National fences for the first time, could now exploit a workable mark now the handicapper is relenting.

Tip 5: SHERMINATOR - 1pt WIN
Best odds of 7/1 at Paddy Power at the time of publishing.
THE MIGHTY CELT - 0.5pt WIN
Best odds of 14/1 at Unibet while publishing.
SHERMINATOR has continued to improve and put up a solid display in dismissing his rivals readily at Exeter last time out.
The mark looks fair, and in this conditional and amateur jockey race it pays to have experience on your side in the saddle, so last year’s Grand National winning jockey Patrick Mullins takes the reins as a bonus.
THE MIGHTY CELT may be the lurker in the pack for team Skelton.
A Listed and Grade 2 runner-up in France, has had two starts for the Dan Skelton yard and shown up well in both, including when sixth of 22 in the Fred Winter.
