Sam bagged just under 10 points profit yesterday, and has tips for every race on day three.

ACQUITTED (best price 5-1) throws up another cracking each-way prospect for punters. Bookmakers are offering five places and some are still 5/1. The form from the win at Newbury has worked out very well, with both Waleydd and Mishriff putting in big displays since. The ground will be testing at Ascot which won’t be a problem for this three-year-old.

The rain forecasted eliminates plenty in this market and I think Sir Dragonet is a favourite to take on. I do think Fox Tal has the capability to win this type of race but I’ve opted for MOUNTAIN ANGEL (best price 14-1) with four places knocking about. He performs well when fresh and goes well with give in the ground. Hopefully he shows much better than last time out.

This is a pretty tricky race as plenty of runners have decent claims. There’s a few at bigger odds like Final Song and Ropey Guest who spark intrigue, but I’m opting to go with MONARCH OF EGYPT (best price 5-1). If he can reproduce the form seen when coming second to Siskin twice he’d go very close here. Five places are on offer.

Not a race I’d be going crackers in as it’s tricky to gauge how much each horse could improve following debuts. I’ve decided to go with MODERN NEWS (best price 10-3) who looked like the extra distance would suit him on debut at Newmarket.

Stradivarius will win this but don’t think anyone needs odds-on shots tipping. PRINCE OF ARRAN (best price 20-1 w/o Stradivarius) is a very reliable horse and will always give you a run for your money, especially overseas. Every chance the seven-year-old could finish in the top three here. Only a bet if all horses stay in the market.

The favorite looks a solid type but with bookmakers offering six places I’d much rather be on a bigger priced runner than Finest Sound at 3/1. GROVE FERRY (best price 20-1) has pretty solid form from last season and looks like the step up in distance will suit. Has won on soft before, and I’m happy to ignore the return to track on all-weather earlier in the month.

DUBAI LOVE (best price 8-1) will need a huge race to defy weight but this clearly a very talented horse. She’s performed well in difficult conditions previously and has been performing consistently overseas earlier this year. It’s going to be a tough ask to win, but hard to see her outside the top five in this field. Has valuable form in big fields.
SEPARATE (best price 50-1) ended last season disappointingly in heavy conditions at Newmarket, but she put in some solid displays earlier in the season. She landed a couple of wins and some nice placing against a few solid fields. Could perform well fresh, worth a risk at this price.
