Tip 1: Windbreaker - 1pt

Best odds of 5/2 at bet365 while publishing.

Saxon Street is a well-bred newcomer for the Gosden yard, but experience is often important at Chelmsford, and therefore preference goes to WINDBREAKER (best priced at 5/2), who caught the eye when 5th on his debut at Kempton. The William Haggas-trained colt’s sales price increased from 100,000gns as a foal to 375,000gns as a yearling, and he is the first foal out of Cloudy Dawn, who won a Group 3 over this one-mile trip.

Windbreaker was slowly away and showed inexperience in the rear on his debut at Kempton, but made some nice late headway for a yard whose runners often improve for their first run. Shane Foley, who chose to ride a different horse for the owner at Kempton, takes over on board, and he is expected to get off the mark at the second attempt.

Tip 2: Kuiama - 0.5pt EW

Best odds of 4/1 at Betfred while publishing.

Both Blindfold Games and Rosieisme Darling finished 2nd on their respective handicap debuts last time, but a chance is taken on KUIAMA (best priced at 4/1) with Sean Levey taking over on board. The Dylan Cunha stable are in good form currently with a 67% RTF, and it is notable they have booked Levey for the ride given he is 5-22 (23% strike rate) and had a winner for them yesterday.

Sean Levey takes over from Lillie Dingle, a 7lb claimer who is 1-17 overall in her career, and hopefully that means he can settle Kuiama, who raced too keenly at Wolverhampton last time. She will be well suited by this return to Chelmsford, and I expect her to make a bold bid from the front.
