Steve Ryder's three top selections across Thursday's Wincanton and Chelmsford cards.
12:07 Wincanton
Tip 1: Golan Loop - 1pt
Best odds of 15/8 at Paddy Power while publishing.
The Warren Greatrex-trained GOLAN LOOP (best priced at 15/8) has looked progressive on his two chase starts to date, and he should be able to defy a 6lb rise in the weights. The six-year-old appeared in need of the run when 2nd at Southwell on his reappearance before winning in impressive style by 4 ½ lengths at Hereford over this 3m1f trip last time.
The handicapper has raised Golan Loop 6lbs for that victory, but he should be able to defy that rise off top weight with Sean Bowen taking over on board.
7:30 Chelmsford
Tip 2: Carlton - 1pt
Best odds of 5/1 at Betfred while publishing.
CARLTON (best priced at 5/1) has an impressive record at Chelmsford with six wins from seven starts, and he should be able to get back to winning ways returned to the flat. The six-year-old won his first four starts for the James Owen stable, with all of them coming at this track. He then won here in May before tasting his only defeat at the track when 5th beaten only 1 ¾ lengths at the finish in a Class 4 handicap.
Carlton won in September over this course and distance off a mark of 72 when back in Class 5 company. The handicapper has only raised him 3lbs for that 1 ¼ success and he should prove hard to beat in the same grade off top weight.

Tip 3: Time Tested - 1pt
Best odds of 15/8 at bet365 while publishing.
With old rival Melek Alreeh already an NR, this looks a good opportunity for TIME TESTED (best priced at 15/8) to complete a hat-trick of wins over this course and distance. The Michael Bell-trained five-year-old is unbeaten in his three starts at this track and has an impressive overall record of 5-8 in AW handicaps.
Time Tested was ridden confidently from the rear that day and was more dominant than the winning margin of a neck suggested. He should be able to defy a 2lb rise in the weights with Hector Crouch once again on board.
