Steve Richardson has an anytime try scorer bet for this afternoon's Six Nations clash in Rome.
Italy v France - Saturday 13:30, ITV
Remi Lamerat is worth a bet to make it third time lucky on the try-front when Italy host France on Saturday lunchtime. Les Bleus' Outside Centre Lamerat has been denied five-pointers against Scotland and Ireland by the TV match official.
France Head Coach Guy Noves has named a side, with Brice Dulin and Virimi Vakatawa returning to the Back Three, that suggests he wants them to play with the ball in hand and is targeting space and time on the flanks.
The Azzurri have conceded 132 points so far this championship and Wales and England Outside Centres Jonathan Davies and Ben Te'o have already touched down against Conor O'Shea's charges, while they have conceded nine tries to wingers.
Italy stopped both Wales and England from playing cohesively for halfs but not for long enough to prevent heavy defeats and they were overrun throughout by Ireland in the contact zone at the gainline. France's forwards, particularly Louis Picamoles, have been excellent in this area against England, Scotland and Ireland even though they have come away with only one win.
Picamoles' surges should put pay to any aspirations of Italy employing the innovative ruck-tactics that bamboozled England, but it is still hard to make a case for France giving up around 20 points in making it five wins on the spin against Italy. Les Bleus have scored only two tries so far this tournament and have lost five away matches in a row in the competition.
Italy have scored tries against Wales, Ireland and England so are not without an attacking threat. They were a nuisance in Paris last year and could, arguably should, have won. They have also triumphed in two of the teams' last three meetings in Rome.
