Carlos Alcaraz will defend his Wimbledon title when he takes to Centre Court to face Novak Djokovic.
Wimbledon Men's 2024
After nearly two weeks of tension on the greens of Wimbledon’s famous courts, we are finally down to our final two in the men’s tournament.
Wimbledon Men's Final Prediction
It’s been a tournament to remember. Andy Murray bowed out of his final Wimbledon alongside brother Jamie in the men’s doubles, while Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard became the first lucky loser to reach the fourth round in nearly 30 years.
And, the lineup for the grand prize has well and truly delivered. Student versus master, and a repeat of 2023 final - the world will be watching on as Novak Djokovic attempts to wrestle back the title from it’s holder, Carlos Alcaraz.
Pre-tournament World No.1, Jannik Sinner, crashed out in the quarters to Alcaraz’ semi final opponent, Daniil Medvedev, whom Alcaraz went on to beat comfortably in a four set semi - he did the same to 12th seed Tommy Paul in the quarters.
Djokovic, however, has what may be considered an easier run after his quarters walkover victory against the injured Alex de Minaur, before a semi against 25th seed Lorenzo Musetti, who was dismantled in straight sets.
Alcaraz has had to be on the top of his game, facing seeded players since the third round, and has played a fair bit more tennis than his opponent given Djokovic’s quarter final walkover.
This may give Alcaraz a slight advantage in theory, but it’s Novak Djokovic we’re talking about here. The Serb is 11/8 (Bet Victor) to win Sunday’s showpiece, and lands at 5/1 (Midnite) to win by 3 sets to 1, 6/1 (William Hill) to win 3-0, and 13/2 (Quinn Bet) 3 sets to 2.
Alcaraz is the favourite, however, with best odds of 4/6 (BetMGM) to retain his title. While there are again some great odds in the set betting market, the pick being a 5/1 (Boyle Sport) for a 3-2 set victory.
