David Goffin and Fernando Verdasco clash in what should be a fairly evenly contested match between the pair. Neither player has made it to the second week at Wimbledon since 2016.

Whilst the former is made favourite for the match, the latter must be respected. He is a former quarter-finalist and despite the fact he is getting on a bit now at 35 years of age, he has enough to tools in his armoury to threaten the Belgian.

Both players have already been involved in 5 set matches and it wouldn’t surprise me if this one went the distance, but I’ll be plumping for the safer option of over 3.5 sets.

Cori ‘Coco’ Gauff has become a fan-favourite in SW19 already in her very short career, and her popularity peaked on Friday night as the 15-year-old fought back from a set and a break down on Centre Court to reach the fourth round, her match smashing the viewing figures for the tournament so far.

However, in Simona Halep today she faces one of the toughest and grittiest opponents on tour and she will have no problem putting an end to the youngster’s fairytale today in convincing fashion.

Kevin Anderson reached the final in 2018 and would have been hoping for another strong run in the tournament, but then he ran into Guido Pella. The Argentinian put on a masterclass against him on Friday, beating the 6 foot 8 South African in straight sets.

It’s not the first time Pella has knocked out one of the towering contenders either – he beat another former-finalist Marin Cilic last year in the second round.

Pella can clearly handle the big serving favourite, and Milos Raonic fits the bill. Whilst it will be difficult for him to pull off another upset, he is well capable and over 3.5 sets will be the last leg of the treble.

After all I have said, it would also be silly of me not to have a small bet on the South American upsetting the odds once again.
