Roger Federer v Novak Djokovic
Simona Halep dismantled Serena Williams yesterday to land us the winner of the Women's final and whilst I expected the Romanian to win, I didn't expect it to be that easy.
Her groundstrokes were on another level and the amount of balls she makes are absurd. Serena, on the other hand, looks as though age is catching up with her and her movement is severely limited. It's difficult to see her winning another Grand Slam now.
Anyway, on to the Men's where the incredible Roger Federer contests his twelth Wimbledon final.
Unlike Serena, Federer still moves around the court with consumate ease and his semi-final victory against Rafael Nadal showed us all how much he still has to offer.
I have to admit, I didn't expect him to dominate the rallies as he did and he will need to do the same today if he is to take his major tally to 21.
The Swiss has one of the most accurate and reliable serves in the game. The same could be said of Djokovic and that is one of the main things that sets them apart from Rafael Nadal away from clay.
In the opening set I don't think either of them will give eachother an inch and I can see it going to a tie-break. Couple that with the fact that the last two times these two have faced eachother at Wimbledon the first has been decided by a tie-break and the 5/2 on offer looks strong value to me.
Going back to the semi-finals, Djokovic beat Bautista-Agut fairly comfortably in the end but there were times in the second set where he was getting outclassed in rallies by the Spaniard.
That rang alarm bells for me as Federer is just a cut above Agut's level, and if Djokovic shows any sort of that weakness and lethargy today he will take advantage.
I saw enough from both players in the last round to suggest to me that the odds-against available on the eight-time Wimbledon champion is worth a nibble.
