The last two evictions take place tonight, with Ricky, Bear, Marnie and Samantha facing the chop from the Borehamwood bungalow. Frankie and Katie are also up for the very first time.
EastEnder Ricky Norwood (33/1) topped the vote on Friday night, and will be safe as houses again this time. Controversial housemate Bear has also been far too divisive and entertaining to be in any danger whatsoever at 40/1.
Frankie Grande (14/1) has struck a nice balance between being likeable and entertaining throughout his time on the show. Pop star Ariana’s brother is looking to join fellow Americans Renee and Aubrey in the final, and up against this competition, he looks set to succeed.
Marnie Simpson (10/1) has certainly not been as popular as previous fellow Geordies, Charlotte and Scotty T. However, if those two CBB alumni decide to tweet their support for her, then she should be safe. If not, her unpopular antics with Lewis and Bear could see her hovering around the danger zone.
All of the above means that Page 3 stunner ‘Our Sam’ and former X Factor villain Katie Waissel are likely to be down in the bottom 2 - a place very familiar to Katie from her talent show days. Sam Fox must have done quite well in Friday’s vote, but she has gone backwards since then. Viewers are tiring of her self-important monologues about how she is apparently loved by the public. Katie has been likeable but has gone very much under the radar, until imploding big time on last night’s show.
I’m fairly confident the above two will be leaving tonight, but it’s been a big series of heavy odds-on favourites being evicted. You would suspect the higher profile of ‘Our Sam’ will still pull in more votes than Katie (4/9) as well, so I therefore cannot recommend a value bet on Sam to be evicted at 7/2.
Instead I want to shift the betting focus to the Top Female market. Despite being unknown before the show, US reality star Renee Graziano has made a huge impact on the audience. Her consistency in standing up to Bear has been great to watch and has made her very popular on social media. Her realness and telling-it-like-is approach has lifted her up to third in the outright betting at 10/1, and it’s not inconceivable that she actually goes on to win. Given that two out of three unpopular females look certain to be evicted tonight, and the fact that fellow American Aubrey has been nothing but a no-hoper, in addition to Renee already being in the final, Top Woman in this series really ought to be her. At evens, Renee represents outstanding value to be the last woman to get up off the sofa on Friday.
