Alongside its intuitive desktop client, Thrive Fantasy offers native apps for iOS and Android, meaning you can enter contests in legal DFS states whenever you have a connection. The app allows you to browse and enter contests, deposit to your account, and access account management settings. If you enable push notifications, Thrive Fantasy will also send you details of the latest promos and contests.

The Thrive Fantasy app is rated 3.9/5 on the iOS App Store from 596 reviews and 4/5 on the Google Play Store from 232 reviews. Players commented that while they, on the whole, enjoyed using the app, there were certain issues like slow load times and occasional bugs in its performance. Players also commented on the speed of the withdrawal times and the interface for withdrawals, something we also needed help understanding. We hope Thrive Fantasy improves this in the future.

How Does Thrive Daily Fantasy Sports Work?

Daily Fantasy Sports is a game of skill where players select a virtual team of athletes and compete against others based on the real-world performance of those athletes. Pick 'em DFS is a specific type of DFS where players choose who will have the best stats from a pre-selected pool of athletes rather than drafting an entire team. Each selection you make earns you points, with less probable picks earning you more points. Players with the most points in a pool win prizes.

Thrive DFS operates a range of contests for you to enter in various popular US sports, like NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. There are also a few niche options, including golf, UFC, and, most notably, cricket. We were really impressed with its range of eSports - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), DOTA 2, League of Legends, and Valorant contests are all offered on the Thrive Fantasy app and desktop client.

Thrive Fantasy offers a range of game types for players, including head-to-head contests, which are winner-takes-all contests against a single fellow player. There are also versus contests, which involve predicting which athlete out of a selection of two will outperform the other. Finally, there are Thrive Fantasy contests, which are played against the house.

You can select up to five players in contests against the House, although promotional contests offered throughout the year on various events like the NFL and NBA kick-off weekends will allow you to pick more. In most contests, making two correct selections will win you 3.2x your stake, three correct selections will win you 5.2x your entry, four selections will win you 10.2x your entry, and five selections can win you 20.2x your entry. Entry fees range from $1 to $10,000, meaning there is a range of contests to suit all budgets.

Overall, we were impressed with Thrive Fantasy’s range of sports available for contests and buy-in range. We found that most contests had decent liquidity, meaning you won’t struggle to find a game to suit your tastes. Compared to some of its competitors, the range of sports available is favorable, and the addition of sports like golf, cricket, and UFC, which are uncommon at other DFS providers, is welcome.

In Which States is Thrive Fantasy Legal?

DFS is a popular online game of skill in the US that allows players to select players or answer a set number of questions over a single game day or a week of action to potentially win prizes.

The legality of online sports betting varies between different US jurisdictions, but DFS is legal in many states. In fact, 46 states and jurisdictions allow DFS to some extent. Some states have specifically legalized DFS products, while in other states, operators can offer services to players thanks to a carve-out in the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA).

However, it is essential to note that not all states have explicitly legalized DFS. A few states, such as Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington State, have specifically prohibited DFS. Therefore, before participating in DFS, players should check the legality of such activities in their respective states.

Thrive Fantasy accepts players in 33 legal DFS states in the US: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

The minimum age to play Thrive Fantasy in all of these states is 18, except for Massachusetts and Nebraska, which have a legal DFS age of 21.

Thrive Fantasy Banking

Thrive Fantasy offers several options for users to deposit and withdraw funds from their accounts. Below, we detail the deposit and withdrawal methods available, including minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts, processing times, and any fees associated with each option.

Thrive Fantasy Deposit Methods

Thrive Fantasy allows you to deposit to your account with credit cards like Visa and Mastercard, PayPal, or eCheck/ACH. When you sign up and claim your Thrive Fantasy promo code, you will be prompted to deposit - the minimum deposit is $10. Depositing this amount will automatically activate the bonus. Thrive Fantasy also accepts Prizeout, a service that allows you to cash out earnings from various sites onto a gift card, which you can use to top up your DFS account.

Thrive Fantasy requires you to play through your deposit before withdrawing, which is pretty standard with competing DFS operators.

The range of payment methods and minimum deposit at Thrive Fantasy match up well with most DFS sites, although we were perplexed that debit card deposits weren’t supported. We liked the inclusion of Prizeout, which isn’t available with many operators.

Overall, most players will find a payment method to suit them at Thrive Fantasy. While a few improvements could be made, overall, the site caters to a range of tastes.

Thrive Fantasy Withdrawal

Thrive Fantasy provides all the same payment methods for withdrawals as deposits, except for credit cards, which cannot be used for withdrawals. You can withdraw your funds using PayPal, eCheck/ACH, or Prizeout. The minimum withdrawal is $25, which is relatively high. To withdraw your funds, simply click “Deposit” in the top right of the desktop and mobile apps and choose between withdrawing or withdrawing with Prizeout.

The process for withdrawal is relatively simple, although, as a newcomer, it can be a little bit confusing to click “Deposit” to withdraw your funds. We’d like to see the button changed to “Cashier” or “Wallet”, similar to some of its competitors.

Our review team was really impressed with the Prizeout withdrawal option. This innovative payment service promises quick withdrawals for players, with funds being available for use at several prominent retail shops and websites at lightning speed.

Boom Fantasy Customer Support

One of the more disappointing elements of this DFS operator is its customer support. While competitors have a wide range of contact options, Boom Fantasy only offers support via email or X (formerly Twitter).

While our review team was impressed with the speed and know-how of the representatives over email, we were less than impressed with the customer support provided over social media. While some queries had been answered, we found many players who had contacted the operator but had yet to get a response.

Also, while we found a “How to Play” and FAQ page on its desktop landing page, we were disappointed that these pages didn’t contain more information, especially as the site was one of only three options available for troubleshooting issues. We’d like to see live chat and phone support added to give players more flexibility when seeking help.
