Vladimir Guerrero Jr. might've got the perfect first-round draw.
He already has experience in the Home Run Derby after competing in the 2019 Tournament. He had a great showing then. But that was also four years ago. His power has since fallen off this season, and he's not looking like the same player of old.
However, he'll face Mookie Betts in the first round, who admitted that he likely won't win the Derby this year. Betts didn't even really want to compete, but his Wife acknowledged that the Derby was the only thing he's never competed in with the MLB.
So he took her advice and joined. But he doesn't sound too confident. That bodes well for Vladdy.

Betts told ESPN about a week ago, "Let's be real, I'm not a power guy. Do I have some home runs? Sure."
Betts has 26 home runs with the Dodgers this season before the All-Star break. He's got way more power than he's letting on. But he said his homers usually go about 380 feet compared to the other sluggers expected to hit 400+ feet every homer.
Betts is the smallest competitor in the Derby. He's only 5-foot-9 and 180 lbs. And maybe that's being generous.
