NBA Finals MVP Odds: Favorite Steph Curry Given 50% Chance to Win Finals MVP

One of the most bet props for the NBA Finals every single year is the NBA Finals MVP odds. For the most part, it's an award usually given to the best player on the team that wins the title. However, there are rare exceptions when the best player doesn't actually win the award.

Still, it made sense that, coming into the NBA Finals, NBA Finals MVP odds had Steph Curry as the favorite to win the award.

The Warriors were favored to win the series and Curry is one of the five best players alive, let alone on his own team.

However, following a shocking loss in Game 1 by the Warriors, it was the Celtic's Jayson Tatum that took over as the NBA Finals MVP favorite as his odds shot to +125.

Now, after a lopsided win in Game 2 by the Warriors where Curry scored 29 points on 5-12 shooting from three-point range, he's back as the favorite, according to the latest NBA Finals MVP odds.

Steph Curry is about as accomplished as anyone when it comes to his NBA resume. He's a three-time champion, a two-time regular season MVP and an eight-time all-star selection. But, the one award that has escaped him to this point is NBA Finals MVP.

In 2015, it was Andre Iguodala that won the award for his defense against LeBron James all series. Then, in 2017 and 2018 it was Kevin Durant that took the award home. So, it;s fairly significant that NBA Finals MVP odds favor Curry. This could be the final addition needed to his trophy case along the way of his Hall-of-Fame career.
