2022-23 NBA ROTY Odds: Keegan Murray Takes A Tumble in NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

There are no major changes or any new players to the list, but there were some minor, interesting changes. With another small week, here’s to hoping for more movement in this next week. Let’s take an updated look at the NBA Rookie of the Year Odds Power Rankings.

1. Paolo Banchero (-380) Bet $100 to collect $126. FanDuel has the best odds, click here to bet

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Banchero remains in the top spot in the Power Rankings. Now, Banchero did have a very solid week, scoring 20+ points in three straight games. His averages sit at 21.9 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game. As the top pick, if Banchero remains the highest per-game score, he’s going to maintain his odds to win the award. The Magic are tied for the bottom of the Eastern Conference in the win column, so that could slightly hurt his case.

2. Bennedict Mathurin (+320) Bet $100 to collect $420. Caesars has the best odds, click here to bet

Mathurin’s incredible points-per-game has taken more of a dip to 18.1 points per game, and that’s what was holding Mathurin so close to Banchero. His stats are still very, very solid for a rookie drafted outside the top five picks, though. He’s been a consistent 10+ points scorer in the month of December, but he hasn’t scratched 20 or more points yet in the month. He’s going to have to get back to the 20+ point games if he wants to continue the chase for the top odds. His team finding success does help, though, as it did for Scottie Barnes last season.

3. Jaden Ivey (+3500) Bet $100 to collect $3600. FanDuel has the best odds, click here to bet

Ivey saw his odds take a dip, as well, as his chase for a top-two spot is going the wrong way. He hasn’t had the best December, as he’s shooting 33.3% from the field and 26.9% on 3-pointers. I still expect Ivey to find a solid stretch as Cade Cunningham is out. For now, the odds dip for Ivey is warranted, but I expect him to bounce back.

4. Jalen Williams (+15000) Bet $100 to collect $15100. BetRivers has the best odds, click here to bet

Murray finally got jumped by Williams, and it’s fair. Williams has been very solid in his role with the Thunder, and he could see even better odds if he continues to improve his play. I would like to see his 10.6 points per game get a jump, as SGA commands a ton of attention and Josh Giddey is an incredible passer, so the chance to jump to around 13 points per game is reasonable.

5. Keegan Murray (+15000) Bet $100 to collect $15100. BetRivers has the best odds, click here to bet

Murray had a much better week this past week, and his odds didn’t move. Because of that, I expect his odds to get a jump in the next week. Now, he’s averaged 16.8 points per game this month. If that is sustainable, Jalen Williams won’t be in the mix for the fourth spot, and Murray will be able to push Ivey for the third. It’s a small sample size, but Murray should be able to pull away for the fourth spot in a week.
