2022-23 NBA MVP Odds
1. Jayson Tatum (+340) Bet $100 to collect $440. FanDuel has the best odds, click here
So, Tatum has a lead now. He’s scored 30 or more points in six straight games, with three of them being 40+ point games. He’s scoring the ball incredibly well while continuing to win games for his team. He’s 3-0 in the last week and is worthy of holding the best odds for the award. However, the next week could see anybody hold this top spot. As long as Tatum keeps playing at this level and his team is the best in the NBA, though, he’s rightfully in the top spot or around it and a legitimate contender for the award this year.
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+450) Bet $100 to collect $550. BetMGM has the best odds, click here
The main reason Giannis fell this past week is that his team went 0-3. He put together some solid stat lines but losing all your games, while Tatum won his, is a good reason to have fallen to the second spot, which is now tied his odds with Luka. His season averages are still well worth being in the running for the top spot. Once his team gets back on track while Giannis continues putting together solid stat lines, he’s going to see his odds continue to move and stay within the top three.
3. Luka Doncic (+450) Bet $100 to collect $550. BetRivers has the best odds, click here
Despite having the worst record of anyone on this list, Luka is straight-up playing his way back into the best odds conversation. He had taken a dip, but his Christmas Day win and 60-21-10 statline are way too much to ignore. He’s doing things nightly that leave the entire NBA community with their jaws on the floor. He’s overwhelmingly talented and is able to do things that Wilt Chamberlain hasn’t and that list is short. If he somehow gets an upgraded roster at the trade deadline, Luka’s team is going to win plenty of games to help build his resume.
4. Nikola Jokic (+500) Bet $100 to collect $600. Caesars has the best odds, click here
The month of December has been a great one for Jokic. He’s averaging 30 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game on the month. Jokic's playing his way into being able to jump as far as the first spot on the list if he continues his play. He’s brought together some big games like Luka, maybe not quite to the same extent, but straight up winning his team games. Triple-doubles, 40-point games, he’s done it all in the past couple of weeks to get this kind of odds boost.
5. Kevin Durant (+1000) Bet $100 to collect $1100. BetRivers has the best odds, click here
To put it simply, Durant lost one game in the month of December. He’s played arguably some of the best defense of his career in doing so, and his team play has the entire team rolling. He, along with Kyrie Irving, looking unselfish is the sole reason their team is where they are. While his stats aren’t as eye-popping as some on the list, his team is absolutely rolling and he’s at the center of it. He’s averaging 29.9 points per game while doing so, too. He’s got some competition to run through, but if the Nets keep winning, the top spot isn’t unobtainable even from the fifth spot on the list.
