NBA MVP Odds

1. Joel Embiid (-2000) Bet $100 to collect $105 BetRivers has the best odds

Embiid has finally made it to the end of the season as a favorite to bring home the Most Valuable Player award. He’s also the scoring champion of the season. His team is the third-best in the Eastern Conference, and he’s been the driving force in doing so. He averaged 33.1 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game on the season, which is plenty good enough to win the award. On top of that, Embiid is the only player in the top-3 to have not won the award yet. It’s trending towards Embiid bringing home the award.

2. Nikola Jokic (+1200) Bet $100 to collect $1,300 BetRivers has the best odds

Averaging a near-triple-double, Jokic seemed to have been on his way to his third straight MVP. The discourse was strong for a while, but eventually, the odds flipped in favor of Embiid. Jokic finished the season averaging 24.5 points per game, 11.8 rebounds per game, and 9.8 assists per game. His stats are MVP-level, though he didn’t score as much as anyone else on this list. His impact was much further, and the advanced stats back that up.

3. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+1400) Bet $100 to collect $1,500 BetRivers has the best odds

Giannis has been the forgotten player that hasn’t left this race. He had a rough mid-season stretch that pushed Giannis back, but he climbed his way back toward the top of the odds with no issues. He averaged 31.1 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game on the season. He led the Bucks to a top seed in the Eastern Conference. He may have the best MVP case, considering he did so without Khris Middleton in plenty of games this season, but he’s won two MVPs in his career and seems to be out of consideration for anything except a finalist.

4. Jayson Tatum (+50000) Bet $100 to collect $50,100 BetRivers has the best odds

These last two players are essentially out of the race. Jayson Tatum still finished the season as a 30-points-per-game scorer and with his team in second place in the Eastern Conference. He started the season off dominant but slowly fell out of the dominance, though he is still playing incredibly. On top of that, his team lost the top seed, so that hurt his case, too. Tatum has been too far out of the race for some time now for this pick to have any substance.

5. Luka Doncic (+50000) Bet $100 to collect $50,100 BetRivers has the best odds

Luka Doncic lost this award (though he didn’t have it won) as soon as the Mavericks threw the towel on the Play-In Tournament for better odds to keep their pick. The Mavericks' season was a disaster, and that can’t happen if their best player wants to win the MVP award. Also, every other player on this list provides some value outside of controlling the offense in a heliocentric style. Doncic can’t carry a team like the other players with his supporting cast.
