There are so many rumors swirling about James Harden right now. Harden signed his player option with the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this summer, worth $35.6 million.
But it sounds like he was promised a trade he's not confident he'll get anymore.
When Harden signed the player option, he did the 76ers a favor by allowing them to get players and assets in return. However, talks cooled down in trade talks for Harden, and reports stated that the 76ers would hold on to Harden for the upcoming season.
Harden wasn't happy about that and acknowledged that Daryl Morey, the president of the 76ers, lied to him and that he's never again played basketball for Moreyin.
Meanwhile, his agent went on podcasts to discuss how diligent Harden has been in the offseason. And other reports suggested that Morey was unmoved by Harden's demands.
Things are getting ugly. If Harden can force his way off the 76ers, where will he land?

The 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers have been in trade talks throughout the offseason. Discussions have centered around James Harden, but the 76ers are unhappy with what Los Angeles offers.
Harden would fit well with the Clippers. But the 76ers still have all the leverage here.
It also seems like Joel Embiid is unhappy with the 76ers. He removed his location from Philadelphia to nothing on Twitter yesterday.
The 76ers might have to move on and start fresh. The Embiid-Harden duo was never going to earn Philadelphia a championship.
Eventually, the 76ers will likely take the best offer, which'll come from the Clippers, who see Harden as a legitimate fit for the roster.
Will James Harden Show Up For 76ers Training Camp?
Team | Odds | Implied Chance |
|---|---|---|
Yes | +300 | 25% |
No | -500 | 83.33% |
Harden commented that he'll never play for Daryl Morey again because he was lied to.
If he's not traded, Harden will hold out until he gets put into a better situation. He's forced his move before and likely can do it again.
The 76ers will want at least something in return from Harden, especially if he won't want to play for them.
I'd take No on Harden showing up to Philadelphia's training camp.
