NBA MVP Power Rankings
1. Nikola Jokic (+200)Â (Bet $100 to collect $300)
Nikola Jokic still has the highest probability of winning the MVP. He's scored 28.8 points per game, with 13.4 rebounds and 8.9 assists per night.
His field goal percentage of 56.8% is 14th-best in the NBA.
From Wednesday to Sunday, Jokic scored at least 30 points in all three of his games and earned one triple-double with three double-doubles.
2. Luka Doncic (+550)Â (Bet $100 to collect $650)
Doncic has scored over 30 points per game this season. He's also added 7.9 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game.
His last two games against the Lakers and Clippers were excellent, with Doncic averaging 30 points per game. However, he attempted over 50 shots in those two games and didn't come close to his typical 49% from the field.
That's not encouraging. He needs to be more efficient if he wants to win this award.
3. Joel Embiid (+650) (Bet $100 to collect $700)
Embiid leads the league in points per game with 32.1. He's also added 11.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting above 49% from the field.
Embiid has come close to a triple-double multiple times this year. But he's missed it by one assist in those games.
Still, he's added at least 32 points in four straight games and has found the cheat code to getting to the foul line recently. That'll help boost his stats.
4. Jayson Tatum (+850)Â (Bet $100 to collect $950)
Jayson Tatum just had six turnovers in 39 minutes against the Hawks. But he's still shooting the ball at a solid rate. It's just that his assist numbers are still low at 4.1 assists per game.
That could eventually hurt his chances at the award.
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+1000) (Bet $100 to collect $1100)
The same could be said about Giannis Antetokounmpo. He's averaging about 30 points per game with 10.6 rebounds. However, he's only assisted on 4.6 baskets per game.
Like Embiid, Giannis gets to the foul line at a high rate. However, he can't hit his foul shots as well as Embiid. That's why he's currently fifth on the list right now.
6. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+1300)Â (Bet $100 to collect $1400)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is now sixth on the list at +1300 odds. He's had multiple 40-point games and remains consistent on the floor. Shai isn't a three-point shooter. Instead, he attacks the rim and gets a lot of foul calls.
Gilgeous-Alexander has added 28 free throw attempts in his last two games and has drained 27 of them.
