1. Nikola Jokic (+210) (Bet $100 to collect $310)
Jokic has only averaged 22.6 points per game in the month. Part of that is because he added only four points in 16 minutes against the Bulls before he fouled out.
However, he's still averaged a triple-double per game, adding 10.8 rebounds and 10.3 assists in his last eight games.
Jokic is just .5 assists per game away from averaging a triple-double this season.
2. Luka Doncic (+400) (Bet $100 to collect $500)
Luka Doncic has added over 36 points per game in December. He's also shot over 48% from the field while taking over 25 shots per game in the month.
He's now second in the NBA with 32.7 points per game. He's also added 9.1 assists and 8.3 rebounds on the year. Doncic could find his way to the top of the MVP board if he can average a triple-double.
3. Joel Embiid (+425) (Bet $100 to collect $525)
In December, Joel Embiid has averaged 40 points per game with nearly 13 rebounds. He's also shot the ball exceptionally well, with a field goal percentage of 61.9%.
Embiid has averaged 11 foul shots per game in the month and now leads the NBA in points per game with over 34 points.
4. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+900) (Bet $100 to collect $1000)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging over 30 points per game for the Thunder. He's also dominated as of late, adding 7.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 54.4% from the field in the last month.
That's tough to do when taking nearly 21 shots per game. That's why Shai is in the conversation.
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+900) (Bet $100 to collect $1000)
Giannis had a 64-point game against the Pacers, shooting 20-for-28 from the field. That helped him move up from +1200 last week.
However, it wasn't enough to move him into the top three. Since that game, he's added 48 points in two games against the Pistons and Rockets. Still, in December, he's earned 11.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game.
He's still playing at an elite level right now.
6. Jayson Tatum (+1800) (Bet $100 to collect $1900)
The Celtics have won five straight games. However, Jayson Tatum has only scored 26.1 points per game since the start of December.
Tatum has averaged 8.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the month but has shot only 32.1% from three and 45.3% from the field.
That won't get the job done against the other players mentioned above.
