NBA MVP Power Rankings
1. Joel Embiid (+210) (Bet $100 to collect $310)
Joel Embiid has only played 11 games between December and January. If he misses more than ten more games this season, he won't be able to win the MVP award.
That said, Embiid has averaged nearly 35 points per game and has added almost 12 rebounds with six assists per game.
He's shot 53.5% from the field and hasn't had a game with less than 30 points since November 15 against Boston.
2. Nikola Jokic (+250) (Bet $100 to collect $350)
Nikola Jokic finished with four points, 16 assists, and seven rebounds in 25 minutes against the Pistons on Sunday.
It's a weird stat line, but he only took three shots in the entire game and still helped the Nuggets to a 131-114 win over Detroit.
Jokic is averaging nearly 10 points fewer than Embiid. That's ultimately why he's below him on the odds table.
3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+400) (Bet $100 to collect $500)
The Thunder have lost two straight games heading into Week 12. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has added over 34 points per game since the new year began.
He's scored 31.5 points per game with six rebounds and 6.4 assists while shooting 54.7% from the field.
Oklahoma City surprised some people this season. Shai is now third on the MVP odds list.
4. Luka Doncic (+500) (Bet $100 to collect $600)
Luka Doncic fell to fourth after he was third last week. He had a poor game against the Utah Jazz, scoring 19 points on January 1 in a loss.
However, he scored 41 and 34 in his previous two games and knocked off Portland and Minnesota with his performances.
Doncic has added 33.7 points per game with 8.2 rebounds and 9.2 assists. While his field goal percentage is under 50%, he's statistically outperformed Shai.
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+1900) (Bet $100 to collect $2000)
Giannis has added back-to-back 40-point games against the Spurs and Rockets. He's also averaged 15 rebounds per game in January.
He's shot 61% from the field and has attempted more than 19 shots per game. It's just that the Bucks have lost three of their first four games to begin the new year.
If the Bucks can return to their winning ways as they did in December, Giannis will rise up the odds board again.
6. Jayson Tatum (+3400) (Bet $100 to collect $3500)
Jayson Tatum has added 32.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in three games in January.
Compare that to his 27.5 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists throughout the season.
He's improving. But he must continue his January outburst for the rest of the season.
