We're headed to Week 15 of the NBA season. The race couldn't be any tighter for the MVP Award.
Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid are tied on the odds board. While Embiid has had a better season overall, some are concerned he won't play enough games to win the MVP
Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum has completely dropped out of the race. He's sitting at +5000 and won't even be acknowledged below anymore.

NBA MVP Power Rankings
1. Joel Embiid (+200) (Bet $100 to collect $300)
Joel Embiid can only miss six more games to qualify for the MVP Award. Therefore, if he gets one serious injury that will keep him out multiple games, his chances of winning the MVP will be very low.
His stat line is currently the best in the NBA. He's added 36 points per game with 11.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists. He's also shot 53.9% from the field and just had a 70-point performance against the Spurs in 37 minutes.
If the NBA didn't put this new minimum of games for an MVP in place, he would be the clear favorite. But the rules have changed. Now, he's not.
2. Nikola Jokic (+200) (Bet $100 to collect $300)
Nikola Jokic has scored just 26.3 points per game. However, he's also added 12 rebounds and 8.9 assists and is shooting above 59% from the field. Jokic even earned a triple-double against the Pacers on Tuesday, with 31 points, ten assists, and 13 rebounds while shooting 68.4% from the field. Denver isn't playing its best basketball right now. However, Jokic's numbers are still superior to the rest of the league other than Embiid.
3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+340) (Bet $100 to collect $440)
Gilgeous-Alexander has only had two games in January with fewer than 28 points. He's added 31 points per game in the month and has the Thunder in the top spot in the West. Oklahoma City lost a really bad matchup with the Pistons on the road without Cade Cunningham. So that's not going to help. But as long as Shai and the Thunder bounce back from that loss, they'll be fine, and he'll still be in the race for the MVP.
4. Luka Doncic (+700) (Bet $100 to collect $800)
Luka Doncic shocked the world with 73 points against the Hawks on Friday. He shot 75.8% from the field and nailed 8-of-13 from deep to score 73 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. In the next game against the Kings, he only scored 28 points, but he dished out 17 assists and 10 rebounds for a triple-double. Unfortunately, the Mavericks didn't beat the Kings in that game, and Doncic went just 1-for-9 from three. He's been a little inconsistent, but his other teammate, Kyrie Irving, rarely plays and is always out. That doesn't help either. All of the attention is always on Doncic.
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo (+1000) (Bet $100 to collect $1100)
Giannis has scored 31.2 points per game this month. He's also added 13 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game in January. All of these numbers are better than his seasonal averages. He's added 31 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists this year. This ultimately proves that Giannis is improving and deserves to be in the conversation. Under new head coach Doc Rivers, seeing his stat line over the next month will be interesting.
